Koh Samui is an idyllic tropical island located in the Gulf of Siam in the south of Thailand. Affectionately known as 'Coconut Island' and famous for it's white sands and blue-green azure seas, Koh Samui has become an increasingly popular destination in Thailand and is now the number one Thai island holiday destination.
Koh Samui is about 50km around with white, sandy beaces around the coast and a dense mountainous tropical rainforest interior. The weather is hot and humid throughout the year with two short rainy seasons. Local infastructure is reasonably good and the island hosts well equipped hospitals, well-stocked supermarkets and almost anything else you would need on your holiday.
