Care
There are many good hospitals on Koh Samui. Bangkok Samui Hospital and Thai International Hospital, both located in Chaweng, are the best resourced but the most expensive. The doctors speak English (amongst other languages) and you can be be refunded from some European and American insurance companies. Samui International Hospital, located in Chaweng North on the beach road, also has a good health service and the staff speak several languages. Bandon International Hospital, in Bophut, also provides good care for minor ailments and injuries though is not as modern as the others.

There is one government hospital, Samui Hospital, located 2 km south of Nathon.

There are numerous small clinics and pharmacies around the island which are very good for light medical care.
